STORY What parents should do if their child is sent home from school due to coronavirus.

Graeme Collinson: So if a child comes home from school with the virus , the parents of said child could potentially catch it too. But because said parents don't have to isolate they could take the virus into their work place thus contaminating a whole work place! Yip clear a muddy water as per usual

Kathy Cheal: I thought it was 10 day didn’t the PM change from 7 to 10 days of isolation.

Billy Robinson: Just close schools putting education before people's lives unbelievable

Kat Hoggarth: Fair enough, but if a child has to self isolate because they’ve been in contact with someone at school who is positive..... but their parents then have to go out to work because of being frontline staff etc....they then have to get ‘grandma’ involved in looking after them.... symptoms or not

Still SO confusing, either the whole house isolates or what’s the point Nicola Smurthwaite: The school told us as another pupil in my sons bubble tested positive he was to self islolate for 7 days and can return to school after the 7 days

Julie Wilson: So self isolating doesn't mean shopping with your parent in B&M or at a park with a bunch of other kids as the 2 witnessed today?? Maybe they missed that information!

Davey Warrener: Now the government are saying grandparents are allowed to do childminding just to add to the confusion does this mean your grandchildren can visit you

Caroline Barker: I really worry that this isn’t happening

Susan Hayton: Already done a 14 day Quarantine due to it.

STORY Sunderland lockdown, delight over childminding U-turn.

Fiona Moss: It was a stupid rule and not thought through. Typical of blokes. Get a woman back in.
