City businesses are dressed to impress

-

City business Designer Childrenswear is a knockout … and not just because it boasts Tyson Fury as one of its clients!

The company is punching above its weight in the competitive fashion and retail industry which can only serve to inspire others.

As we reveal today, the business has been named in the top 100 of inspiring independents by fashion industry bible Drapers.

It’s another feather in the cap of a business that has been going strong for more than 30 years. Inspirational stuff.

Dionne Evans, commerce director, said: "We are so proud of how, as a team, we have pulled together and carried on through this ever-changing pandemic. We are truly thankful for the skilled team that literally kept the business going throughout the lockdown period.”

And one fledgling business who would love to emulate that success is Swole Ape. This gym kit company is the brainchild of Craig Fletcher who, with the help of his fiancee Helen Fletcher, used lockdown to make his dreams come true.

The couple are now turning out their own brand of fashion goodies while also spreading the health and fitness message. As Craig tells us today: “I wanted to do something amazing and that was helping people avoid ill-health by being a fitter, healthier version of themselves. Now, I’ve literally helped thousands of people over the years achieve a position they’ve always wanted to be in both physically and mentally.”

Fashion on Wearside is clearly fighting fit.
