Cats target Bajamich speaks out on move
With the domestic transfer window open until October 16, Sunderland aren’t quite done yet in the transfer market.
We round-up the latest transfer news from around the Stadium of Light with Mateo Bajamich speaking about his Houston Dynamo move
Bajamich was a summer target for Phil Parkinson as h e c o n s i d e re d s o m e l e f tfield targets to bolster his forward line.
But the deal was always to going to be tricky to complete, and so it proved when the Argentinian completed a $1.2million move to MLS side Houston Dynamo on Monday.
And the striker has been talking about that move in the Argentine press – hailing the American top flight as a growing league.
He told Solo Ascenso: "It is a great step for my career because I will continue to grow. The league grew a lot, now there are many young boys, it is competitive.
“I already spoke with the coach and with the sports director. There are three Argentines in the team.”
Meanwhile, Sunderland have opted against offering Scottish youth international Liam Burt a contract, according to reports.
