The leaders of Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds councils have warned the Government that local lockdowns are not working.

Lockdowns don’t work they are pointless and can’t keep doing them just need to get on with life.

Sunderland was found to have the second-highest rate of prescriptions for pain medications in England.

Sunderland was a heavy industry town, shipyards and pits and factories. All manual jobs, now we are getting on a bit arthritis and old age takes its toll on the body, hence painkillers.

Sunderland’s weekly rate of new coronavirus cases has jumped again.

A lot of the cases are students unfortunately I agree kids need education but I think they should reduce the class sizes and make them wear a mask also there should be more online work to.

Nowt getting done about it other countries getting lockdown but England only bothered about the money not people’s lives.

Probably lock us down when furlough ends to protect their funds.... that's been my thought this week.

And when they come back they are not quarantining for 14 days like they should.

Fire more coronavirusrelated deaths have been recorded in Sunderland as the city’s case counts breaks the 4,000 mark.

Are they from the virus or some underlying medical problem?

They probably had underlying conditions and would probably be alive today if they didn’t get the virus.

Seems anything from high bp to terminal illness is classed as underlying health problem.
