Cole urges Silksworth to step it up for Boldon clash
S i l k s wo r th C W m a n a ge r Jamie Cole has challenged his players to “show they mean business” when they visit in-form Boldon CA on Saturday.
The hosts go into the game knowing that they will top the Wearside League table on Saturday night if they can avoid defeat against Cole’s side.
But Silksworth are also looking to continue their own impressive start to the season aftersecuringthreewinsfrom their opening four games of the campaign.
Ahead of the trip to South Tyneside, Cole said: “It should be a cracking game, I was hoping we’d play on Wednesday but it wasn’t mean to be.
“Boldon have got off to a flier, it’s a very tough game for us, but they’ll be thinking the same thing about us. I think they’ll be up there challenging at the end of the season if they can keep their team together.
“But if we can get in our lads’ heads and get them up for the game, it’s a performance and a result that would show
that we mean business.”
Cole revealed that he is expecting to have a full squad available for the game.
Boldon have four players unavailable as Jack Dykes (ankle), Stephen Ramsey (knee), Craig Waddell (unavailable) and Dan Gray (ankle) are miss out as their side go looking for a seventh consecutive win.
Darlington Town will top
the table on Saturday night if they bag three points in their visit to Windscale and Silksworth claim a win at Boldon.
FC Hartlepool manager Terry Hill has some big decisions to make after the confirmed that he has a 20-man squad available for their home game against Durham United.

Liam Lay’s side have won both of their home games so far, but have been left pointless from their trips to Darlington Town and Horden CW.
However, they will be confident of picking up a first win on the road at struggling West Auckland Tunns.
