Robins show an interest in Cats’ target Robbie Gotts

With the domestic transfer window open until October 16, Sunderland aren’t quite done yet in the transfer market.

We round-up the latest transfer news from around th e Stad i u m o f L i g ht a n d League One.

Su n d e rl a n d h ave b e e n linked with the young Leeds Un i te d m id f i e l d e r R obbie Gotts in recent days.

A n d wh i l e P h i l Pa rk i ns o n was coy o n l i n k s w i th th e 2 0 -yea r - o l d , Sw i n d o n Town coach Tommy Wright has confirmed that his side are keen to strike a deal for the Marcelo Bielsa favourite.

But he was quick to insist the deal was not a ‘definite’, with Hull and Huddersfield among the other clubs linked.

“I ’ve wat c h e d R obb i e quite a lot for Leeds – I know Leeds well having been there as a player,” said Wright.

“He’s a good young player. You can see me smiling as I say that. I’m not saying it’s definite, but there is a bit of interest there from our point of view.

“But I think there is quite a bit of interest from plenty of other clubs too in Robbie.”

The Black Cats have also been linked with a move for free agent defender Ali Koiki – but the former Burnley man has been training with Charlton this week.

Koiki featured for the Addicks’ Under-23 side against M i l l wa l l ea rl i e r th i s we e k and local reports have suggested he has a good chance of earning a contract at The Valley.

But any potential deal is complicated by the fact that the youngster turned down a new deal at Turf Moor in the summer, meaning any potential buyer will have to pay compensation.
