Six more patients fall victim to coronavirus
Six more people have died at Sunderland’s NHS hospital trust after testing positive for covid-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 697.
NHS England confirmed yesterday, that further 1,012 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 57,828.
Patients were aged between 39 and 102 years old. All except 46 (aged 39 to 98 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Deaths are recorded as Covid-19 related where a person has died within 28 days of a positive test.
Across the UK on Tuesday, it was announced that 46,533 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 3,164,051.
