Ten more virus patients sadly die at NHS trust
Ten more patients with coronavirus have sadly died at Sunderland’s hospital trust.
NHS England confirmed yesterday that a further 494 people, who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 77,745.
Patients were aged between 27 and 103 years old. All except 22 (aged 51 to 87 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Deaths are recorded as Covid-19 related where a person has died within 28 days of a positive test.
Across the UK on Wednesday, February 10, it was announced that 13,013 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 3,985,161.

New proposals to transform an office complex into apartments have been lodged with planning chiefs.
New plans have been submitted to Sunderland City Council for Parsons House, off Parsons Road, Washington.
Council planners previously granted approval for a scheme for 32 flats, but a new application aims to increase this number further.
New proposals from applicant JT Consultancy Limited include 40 apartments across five floors.
A noise impact assessment commissioned by the applicant added no specific measures are needed to control external noise at the site, which is “wholly due to road traffic.”
The report goes on to say: “Notwithstanding this, a good standard of residential amenity will be achieved at the [site] with the existing glazing.”Theexistingsitehas parkingforabout72carswith applicants adding the developmentisbasedina“sustainable location.”
A previous statement fromtheapplicantsaid:“The site location is within excellent walking and cycling distance of local services, including hospitals, schools, employment and shops. The site is alsoextremelywell connectedtotransport services via the existing road network and associated bus services.”
A decision on the new applicationisexpectedbyApril.
