A Sunderland mum has revealed how she has been struggling with the symptoms of ‘long Covid’ for almost a year.

Alison Williamson: I had covid bk in November and was seriously ill in hospital but out of no where in the last month I've lost most of my hair which as a woman who had long hair to now have non it's devastatin­g I have memory issues joint pain and other issues and just yesterday started having heart palpitatio­ns for all these ppl who think covid isn't real believe me it is.

Margaret Rolfe: I know the after affect I’m still suffering a year later people need to realise after having COVID the after affect is bad your whole life changes

Yip ..... same here...was a fit freak now lucky to even just manage the stairs..i can hear my breathing at all times my lungs are crackly...had COVID in November ..hate this feeling

Same here but I had Covid last April, poorly for a month. Struggle to breath some days. On having blood tests now xx

Nicola Briggs: Same here! I have long Covid! Plus one of my lungs now is permanentl­y damaged! I was fairly fit and healthy before I had COVID sept last year
