There’s a time and a place

-

I can't believe it I was reading Monday's letters page and lo and behold, I seem to have a couple of things in common with Tory stalwart Alan Wright.

Like myself he says he's no fan of Piers Morgan and believe it or not like myself he's no fan of the royal couple Harry and Megan.

I was surprised, shocked even, I always thought Alan was a staunch supporter of the royal family.

He claims even though

he's no fan of Piers Morgan it was wrong how the poor chap was pilloried for claiming on live television he did not believe what Harry and Megan said.

What Alan fails to understand is Piers Morgan is not being denied his freedom of speech, or bizarrely as Alan claims his freedom of thought, it's just there's a time and a place to voice them.

His job on breakfast television is to put the news out there then let both sides have their say with himself the presenter their as a guide.

But as everyone knows Piers Morgan asks questions then answers them himself, like he did with Harry and Megan, then embarrassingly showing himself up with a long-winded childish rant.

But let’s not forget the good work of Piers Morgan; he will always be held in high esteem by the NHS workers for his work in holding this inept government to account over PPE and the failed track and trace system.

Also not forgetting the government's total mishandling of the Covid pandemic over this past year.
