Ramshaw opens up as Sunderland Ladies eye return to FA Cup action
Sunderland Ladies are set to return to action next week.
The Lady Black Cats face Sheffield Women in the FA CuponApril4andwillreturn to training ahead of the game.
The second-round clash was supposed to be played at the Stadium of Light on January 3. But government restrictions saw the fixture postponed. It will now be played behind closed doors at the Academy of Light.
The match comes after theFAannouncedthecurtailment of the Women's National League earlier, which has been declared null and void forthesecondseasoninarow.
Captain Keira Ramshaw said: “Words can't describe how excited and happy I am to return to football.
“It's been a long time without it, and we have missed it so much.
“I can't wait for us all to be backtogetheragaininperson, concentratingonourupcoming games and enjoying the normality of playing football and being together again.”
