So much for the Tories

The number of police officers in England and Wales fell by 20,600 between March 2010 and March 2019, down to 123,200 officers, close to the lowest recorded level since the early 1980s, under Tory leaders D Cameron and T May.

So much for the Tories being the party of law and order.

On the January 24,

2021, the Tory government issued businesses with guidance that they should set up “hubs” in Europe to minimise disruption even if it meant moving investment out of the UK.

So much for Tories being the party of business.

In the Budget, Rishi Sunak announced a 1% pay rise for NHS workers which is effectivel­y a pay cut. A slap in the face not a clap on the doorstep.

So much for the Tories supporting the NHS.

The private sector track and trace programme has been an expensive world beating failure whereas the vaccinatio­n programme has been a success for those people in the NHS public sector.

So much for the Tory bungling of the pandemic with over 126,000 deaths.

Boris told the people in Scotland and Northern Ireland, which voted to stay in the EU, that the Brexit deal would be easy and the Irish border was not a problem.

Brexit is not easy and the Irish border is a problem. So much for the Tories being the party for the United Kingdom.

On March 24, Boris defended his broken promise, to maintain the armed forces, with a reduction of 4,000 soldiers. So much for the Tories being the party of maintainin­g our armed forces.
