Barry Trump: Used to do school swim lessons from Ryhope Grammar School, the water was always Baltic!!!

Bill Walton: Those orange bar sweets which pulled out many a filling. The wire baskets that had to put on the benches otherwise your clothes got wet.

John Semple: I learned to swim there taught my two sons to swlm there as well. Walked from Fulwell juniors once a week for swimming lesson. Myself and all my mates went every Saturday morning happy days
