Would you like to see speed limits cut to 20mph?

Zoe Brown: I’d rather see roads stay at 30mph with speed cameras. They seem to be the only thing that actually work and it’s money for the council from those that think the rules don’t apply to them. Win win.

Thomas Smith: Won't make a bit difference too many impatient people in a hurry.

Roddy Macpherson:

This road is much faster now that it's a 20mph Zone. 20mph is no good without traffic calming measures.

Paul Priestman:

Limit should suit conditions ie 20 mph in some areas and 40mph in others. When 30mph was introduced that was lowest speed cars could go in top gear.

Bryony Fucile:

Absolutely no point in this whatsoever. It's been 20mph in Redhouse for ages and it's hasn’t done any good because there are no cameras to enforce it. No point in limits with no enforcement.

Adam Jones: It’ll cause even more accidents as minuscule changes in speed will lead to more rear-enders on packed roads.

Michael Brook:

It just kicks out more car fumes going that slow.

Graeme Collinson: I live on a small stretch of road next street over from a school. The council introduced a 20mph zone about a year back. Myself and my neighbours complained this was a complete waste of time and money as the street is used as a mini drag racing circuit. Needless to say nothings changed, we still get the speeders and I'm not talking 30mph I'm talking 40 or 50 mph. What’s needed is a speed calming junction or make the road a one way street.

Kev Shanks: It will make absolutely no difference as 80% of motorists ignore any sort of limits especially 20mph.

Joanne Austin: We have a 20mph zone. It has made no difference at all. Total waste of time people still race up and down and no one takes any notice.

Tom Booth: No. Just more enforcement of limits we have.

Steve Dev: Might as well walk.
