STORY:

Name the best and worst roads to drive on across Sunderland.

Marc Airey: The little roundabout at the Broadway shops is lethal.

Ray Ellis: Redcar Road, Redhouse, umpteen schools on a 20mph residential road yet some frequently 40-50mph speedy drivers, absolutely no need.

Kevin Robson: Those without gigantic speed humps, and those with gigantic speed humps.

Sharron Joice: Roundabout near Tunstall Road in the town is lethal!

Andrew Miller: Don’t think there’s a decent road in the whole of the north east!

Mavis Gate: Top end of Gartland Road in Grindon. They did half but left the worst part.

Ross Byrne: Two worst are the junction at Thompson Road and Carley Road and the Broadway roundabout.

Susan Scotter: A19 is one of worst roads, hard to say a good one.

Lianne Hopper:

Thompson road is the worst, junctions are a nightmare, crashes every week, same cars stuck in queues of traffic every night instead of using Kier Hardie Way.

Helen Stokes: One of the worst junctions has to be the bottom of 1231 slip road to Oeel Retail and Barmston! It really needs traffic lights.

Stephen Snowball:

Narrow road past the Cavalier pub in Silksworth. Main roundabout beside Uni in the City Centre so many accidents there.

Karen Butler:

Roundabout after Park Lane beside Tunstall Road, too many traffic lights.

Liz Blythe: Worst, Tay Road after calming measures were installed.

Diane Cooper: Pallion retail park turning right, nightmare.

John Usher: A1231 to Washington is shocking.
