The Lansdowne 2-3 Port of Call

Bottom-of-the-league Port of Call silenced arch rivals the Lansdowne to secure only their second league win of the season. Bewick, Robinson and Joe Lynn fired the decisive goals. The Lansdowne hit a goal in each half, thanks to Haley and Harry Munday. Grange Park 7-1 Hylton Castle TC Plastics

Hylton Castle are in serious trouble and could potentiall­y drop out of the Premier League unless they start picking up wins. They were hammered 7-1 by Grange Park and they have now moved away from the relegation spots.

The hosts did take advantage of Danni Lay being sent off for Hylton and had Ryan Grimes score four, Shaun Fisk hittwoandS­mithfinish­things. McMahon replied for Hylton. Washington Sky Lounge 0-4 Grangetown Florists FC

Grangetown Florists look back to their best as they beat mid-table Washington Sky Lounge 4-0 and go in search of the runners-up spot. Hunter, Potts, Stoker and Kelly earned Florists the win.

The Jolly Potters 2-3 Redhouse

Redhouse are still in control in Division One and lead the way by four points. Supersub Ryan Hodgson entered the fray and hit a quick double to cancel out goals from Langton and Hatton for the Potters, and Dylan Cairns poked home the winner. Ryhope CW 2-2 Herrington CW

A late Dale Spence goal earned Ryhope CW an important point to ease their relegation woes as they drew 2-2 with high-flying Herrington CW. Dobinson and Herron had Herrington running the show but Anth Rogerson scored and it was left to Spence to secure a point.

The Avenue 0-2 Thorney Close

Stalwart Micky Pattison hit his usual goal to keep Thorney Close interested in the promotion spots and eventually beat the Avenue 2-0. Aiden King hit the second to see his side move up to third place.

Wearmouth CW 0-6 Queen Vic It looks like Wearmouth will be enjoying life in the Second Division next season as they were once again beaten with ease and it was the Queen Vic that ran out comfortabl­e 6-0 winners. Stavers scored twice, and Hargrave, Warne, Bamborough and Muir added goals to take the points. South Hylton 15-0 Ryhope FC

Although sitting in second spot South Hylton look like eventual league winners as they have games in hand on the leaders and have excellent players in their ranks. They embarrasse­d their visitors with a 15-0 scoreline as Ryhope were simply out of their depth. A quickfire hattrick from sub Lewis Fairley, Keithley 3, Davison 1, Page 1, Guy 2, 2 from Cahill-Taylor and Andy Place bagged a treble in the process.

The Stella 8-1 Wear United

Wear United are now looking over their shoulder at the

drop zone as they hover over the relegation spot but they didn’t do themselves any favours as they were well beaten 8-1 by the Stella. Snelling was on fire and scored a fine hattrick, then the goals flowed from Kane, Priestman, Holy and McKenna. Davies replied for United.

Townend FC 8-1 Washington New Tavern

Townendgot­theirshoot­ing boots back as they hammered Washington New Tavern and kept themselves in the runners-upspot.CoreyBell2,Griffiths 2, Bakers 2, Cowell and Devlin all fired past Corrighan in the Washington goal. Chris Robinson hit his usual goal for the Tavern.

Hall Farm Doxy Lad 3-0 AFC Houghton

Hall Farm Doxy are still in the hunt and hoping for a promotion spot and they claimed another three points by beating Houghton 3-0. Houghton look to be heading out of the division unless their good performanc­es turn into victories. Doxy had Brad Timm,

Dean Hannah and Dale Connor find the net.

Oddies 1-4 Hendon FC

Hendon are now breathing down the necks of Townend, who sit in second place after they claimed another win by beating the spirited Oddies.

The brilliant Andrea Galdi, who was enjoying his first start, found the top corner with a great strike and star man Owen Imeson Jnr found theotherto­pcornerwit­hanaudacio­usoutside-of-the-booteffort.Hendonkept­onknocking andfoundat­hirdwhichK­night claimed, and Lax wrapped up the scoring in the second half. Oddies got their goal through a defensive mix-up and Hollern pounced to slot home before seeing red.

The Carpets Centre Elite 4-0 Myers

The Carpetmen still remain unbeaten and lead the pack in Division Two and they won their local derby by beating Myers 4-0. Robins and Murton scored in the first and super-sub Keiton Rose fired a double to make sure of the

result.

Millview CIU 2-3 River Bar

Further misery was heaped on Millview as they still search for a win in the league, being beaten by the odd goal in a 3-2 defeat. Conlin scored two for MIllview but River Bar overcame the deficit. Adam Smith scored twice and Helens hit a third.

The Doxy Lad 8-1 The Victory Club

The Doxy Lad are flying up the league and they left the Victory Club in their wake after defeating them 8-1. Hattrick hero Ashton Burlace came off the bench to see off the Club with his excellent finishing and Fairweathe­r bagged two, then Brooke, Winlow and Fagan scored. Dean Gordon hit his team’s solitary strike.

Doxford Athletic 3-3 Velocity Last Orders

This mid-table meeting of

Doxford Athletic and Velocity Last Orders ended 3-3 thanks to canny efforts from Teasdale and Dobson 2 for Doxford and Raeper, Conlin and Brown for Last Orders. Washington Philadelph­ia Castle 1-6 The Jolly Steward Raiders

It was a Jolly outing for the Raiders as they breached the castle walls of Philadelph­ia with a 6-1 win. The Jolly boys were in fine form as they had Jackson score three and Lawrence hit two. The Castle had Mcclintock reply but a further goal from Craig ‘The Foot’ Stamp secured the points.

Albion FC 12-0 Washington Blue Bell Inn

Albion cruised into joint second spot after a thumping win against a poor Washington Blue Bell. Once again they shipped in double figures to stay rooted to the bottom of the pile. The Albion had Palmer, Bensley, Holland, Dodd, Mitchell all scoring one each then Ward hit two, along with Redman, but star man was NiallPalme­rwithafour-goalhaul. Park View 4-1 Whitburn FC

Park View are like the phoenix from the flames as they have racked up a couple of wins to edge them away from the depths of despair of league five. They beat Whitburn 5-1 thanks to Conley with two, Jackson and the land of Troy Baker. Whitburn had Hodgson reply in the last seconds.

Grangetown FC 4-1 Wheatsheaf

Super Grangetown continue to pick up points to leave the relegation fodder behind them. They made sure of another league win against bottom boys Wheatsheaf 4-1. Tommy Blakeman smashed home three then Dan Leonard made sure that the game went Grangetown’s way. Dan Campion popped up with a late goal for the bottom-ofthe-league team.

Marley Pots 10-1 Humbledon PL

Marley Pots are still flying high after another hammering of their counterpar­ts Humbledon PL. Goals came like sunshine on a rainy day thanks to Roper 2, HopeCharlt­on 2, Bulmer 2 and Holmes, Taylor, Sweeney and Tommy Hunter. Mather scored for Humbledon.
