Lennox hoping to fire Seaham Red Star to a top-eight finish
Seaham Red Star striker Adam Lennox is hopeful his side can secure a top-eight finish in Northern League Division One this season.
The former Jarrow frontman has impressed in his first season in the league’s top tier and took his tally of goals to 19 for the season in all competitions with a late penalty in last weekend’s win at Ryhope CW.
Lennox now heads into Saturday’s home game with
Crook Town looking to break the 20-goal mark.
However, he preferred to focus on team targets, rather thanhisownpersonalaimsfor the rest of the season.
“I’vealwayshadconfidence in myself and I feel like I can score,” he told The Echo.
“I don’t set targets, the only thing I look to do is score every timeIplay,trytohelptheteam andtopeightiswherewewant to be.
“That’s achievable and we could have been even higher if a few results had gone our way.
“I’m enjoying it and I think we can push top eight.”
