The most wonderful waffle time of year with festive delight
For those who love to indulge in a mince pie or two at Christmas, and don’t mind a waffle or three either, this new festive treat could just hit the spot. Dessert destination Creams Café has a brand-new perfect pud to kick off Christmas, created to help you feel merry and bright.
The decadent Mince Pie Waffle will join the ho-ho-ho-ugely impressive roster of Creams’ signature dishes.
A merry marriage of festive flavours, Creams’ classic golden waffle will be stuffed with mincemeat, and topped with sumptuous salted caramel gelato and sticky maple syrup.
A dusting of cinnamon and icing sugar will complete this tempting treat, along with a crisp Creams wafer.
This limited-edition dessert will be available throughout the most wonderful time of the year until January 3.
Order in-store nationwide for £6.95, or for delivery via Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat for £8.95.
Meanwhile, over in Greggs’ outlets across the country, the first phase of its 2021 Christmas menu has launched, with six Christmassy treats now available.
These include a Pigs under Blankets Baguette - pork sausages with smoked sweetcure bacon topped with pork, sage and onion stuffing, garnished with cranberry and port sauce in a freshly baked crusty white baguette.
Then there are Sweet Mince Pies, Christmas Lunch Soup made with diced smoked bacon, pork sausage, chicken, turkey, sage and onion stuffing and vegetables, blended with a mix of herbs and spices, and Mint Mocha - made with freshly ground Fairtrade Espresso, steamed milk, hot chocolate and mint flavour syrup with sweetener, finished with a cream topping and chocolate sprinkles. Mint Hot Chocolate, and a Salted Caramel Latte are further festive choices to brighten the days up to December 25.
Seasonal shoppers are also celebrating return of the celebrated Greggs’ Festive Bake.
The original Festive Bake, which launched in 2009 and has since gained a firm fan base, is this year joined by the brandnew Vegan Festive Bake.
This follows the growing public demand for a veganfriendly option to the Christmas classic.
The two launched in all Greggs shops across the UK from last week.
