What do you think about the Prime Minister's apology?

Rachel Surtees:

He's only sorry because he got caught out! Get rid of him! We all followed the rules he set out like the puppets we are, and he partied and laughed!!

Tina Blenkiron: I don't for one minute agree with what he or parliament members did, but just how many members of the public broke the rules too. I saw plenty who did.

Louise Cummings:

Resign, apologies are too little too late after we have all suffered in some way through this pandemic.

Mary Richardson: Leave him to get on with the job, who else is there to take his job on.

David Stoves: Let's not pretend everybody abided by the rules cos they didn't and I include labour party members as well.

Joanne Coulson:

He is only sorry because they have been caught out. They knew exactly what they were doing, and weren't sorry at the time. Only apologising because he had been found out.

Joan Boddy: Not a clue if there’s anyone to take over but he has to go, can’t make rules then break them himself when the country was suffering so badly with deaths and not being able to see family!

Eileen Joyce: His apology wasn’t true or heartfelt and he needs to go.

He’s only sorry he got caught. What about all of the people who were breathing their last all alone while him and his friends were partying? I can’t believe anyone thinks he should stay in this job.

Janet Duell: You are telling me none of the labour lot got together/ had a party at any point during lockdown, and I know plenty of the public that did . Stop wasting money and time, it’s done now. Get on with things.

Eileen Joyce: His apology was pathetic and halfhearted at best. He needs to go and if he had any integrity or a decent moral compass he would just walk away now! He’s not sorry he’s just sorry he got caught.

Claire Fisher: Resign along with all those who attended the party, only sorry for being caught.
