If the Metro line is extended, where would you like to see trains stop?

Sarah Edwards: It would be nice if it could go to Hendon, Grangetown, Ryhope, Silksworth and Doxford Park.

The south of the river always gets forgotten in terms of development opportunities.

Florence Walsh:

Washington. Well neglected. Line already there been promised it for 30 years now.

Johanna Brass: It makes sense to have it at Nissan and Doxford Park both employing thousands of people. Especially given that we are encouraged to have an eye on the environment.

Eric Redfearn: If the Metro line was extended to Middlesbrough it would help travelling to Newcastle Airport so much easier.

Leigh Ellen: To the entire north east. Transport is terrible in the local area. An extended metro service covering Durham, Sunderland, Washington, Teeside, Stockton would make a huge difference.

Helen Ingram: Penshaw or Lambton Estate, the old train line is still there.

Suzanne Tibbo: I think if it connected up to Washington & Nissan then at least it would be a short journey to Town End Farm/Castletown/ Hylton Castle from near the factory, supply better public transport to all the new factories that are being built over that way.

Kristian Brown: Use the old line taking it into the east end, across into Ryhope, along to Silksworth, Doxford, even link up Seaham from then, plus other than crossing over you won't need to touch the mail line much.

Keith Mcbride: What use is the metro for Sunderland even if it is extended it will only run to Newcastle, currently it is a total waste of time and money.

Carol McCann: Doxford International and surrounding areas.

Sue Collinson: Metro should go to the metro centre, why it doesn’t is beyond me.

David Bates: Washington is a MUST. God knows we've paid for it long enough.
