STORY

Which ice cream or lolly from your childhood would you love to have just one more time?

Violet Swann: Walls cornet with square block inside.

Doreen E Scott: Can anyone remember the triangle ice lollies made by walls, they were my favourite.

Stacey Krager: The best ice cream shop was Notriannis. My nanna used to take me and my brother for knickerbocker glorys.

Alyson Coates: Ice cream float from Notriannis with my little nana.

Carol Thompson: I'd love a sandwich with chocolate wafers off Geraldi’s push along ice cream barrow. He used to blow a whistle to let us know he was in the street and his ice cream was the most delicious I've ever tasted. He always gave big portions too.

Maureen Harrison:

Notriannis ice cream in a glass with monkey’s blood and a flake, special treat.

Liz Deary:

The best ice cream ever was Guidies or Guidi's, from a van that came around the estates, Farringdon etc.

Margy Garnet: Fella’s cider lollies, the best.

David Robson: Used to walk from the top of Prestbury Road to Woolworths at Pennywell shops. They used to sell a lolly that wasn’t ice or ice cream In texture. It was something in between, might have been a frozen yoghurt texture. Whatever it was they were delicious.

Natalie Mckenzie: Fellas ice cream special. 25p ice cream cone with rocket lolly stuck in the top.

Anna Roe: A Cornet from Notrianni's ice cream van, or a funny face ice cream from the little shop that used to be near the Royal Infirmary many many years ago.

Linda Tait: Zap, not sure if they still sell them, think they were from Walls.

Frank Cruise: Minchellas ice cream in chocolate wafers with raspberry sauce.

Michelle Lundy: Funny feet.
