Who do you think the new Prime Minister should be?

Darren Ramshaw: Not a Tory. They've had their chance and brought the country to its knees. £2 for a litre of petrol, gas and electric up 100%, £9 for butter.

Paul Fletch: Vote for who? Conservatives have done okay through Covid, the fuel and cost of living issue is an international crisis effecting every country, not conservatives or Boris’s making. Starmer and his ‘No policy’ party are also beyond a joke. I think politics in the UK are at their lowest ebb ever.

Bev Crute: None of them. Who has integrity to do the job. Think long and hard who has been in power over the years. They are all tarnished.

Hilda Dickinson: Thrown under the bus, not one conservative comes out whiter than white and Labour are shallow particularly here in the north east.

Brenda Ferguson Berry: Watch all the Backstabbers put their names forward.

Kevin Longstaff:

Boris

Johnson has no integrity, all his life has been lie after lie, how can anyone defend him in the position he held, you cannot act like he did.

David Eden: Desperately needs a full rework. Proportional representation, elected House of Lords, greater accountability, recallable MPs, written constitution, fixed rules of conduct – just putting another Eton elite, city banker, head of CPS in place won't make any real difference.

Michael Harnett: None of them.

Maxine Foster: It's going to be no better whoever else gets in.

Vicky Tyzack: They are all the same, we are doomed either way.

Linda Robson: I am just buzzing Boris has gone, good riddance to bad rubbish.

Rachel Fawcett: Definitely not any of the ones who resigned.

Gwenda Bradley: We should vote, not the politicians.
