Sunderland confirm key new appointment
Sunderland have confirmed the appointment of a new Head of Performance and Medicine ahead of the club’s return to the Championship.
The Black Cats have been steadily rebuilding their infrastructure since the arrival of Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and have now brought Jamie Harley to Wearside.
Harley has previously worked with Middlesbrough and Newcastle United, where he worked for over a decade as first-team sports scientist and then head of sports science.

TheSkyBluesaresettoface Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, July 31 in the first game of the new Championship campaign.
However, Coventry City captain Liam Kelly has suffered an injury blow ahead of the new season, as revealed by boss Mark Robins.
Robinsrevealed:“He’sgoing to be missing for a significant period. He’s got a serious tear to his hamstring. I don’t know what the timescale is but it’s going to be a while and I don’t think we will see him this side of the international break or possibly the World Cup.”
