Shocking attack on Sunderland fire station prompts summer holiday plea to parents.

Kathy Haq: It's perhaps time to bring back the old 'borstal schools' for these unruly kids. I wonder how they would feel if one of their family lost their lives due to their behaviour and destruction.

Lynn Elliott: I bet their family will be the first to complain about the delay in emergency services. The family should be given the repair bill.

Allison Gibbon: Send the bill to the parents and lock the kids up running riot around there, targeting the GP surgery around there too and the house next door.

Angela Wilson: What do you expect with our justice system. How bad do things have to get before something has to happen.

John Gillon: Any attack on blue light staff should result in the charged be remanded before trial. So easily could have resulted in serious injury.

Karen Emmerson: What is wrong with these kids, get a job then you won't have the energy to behave like this.

Amy Johnson: Something needs doing antisocial behaviour is taking over, kids have no respect.

Steph Dunbar: Wow absolutely vile. I'd be horrifically ashamed as a parent if that was my child. Very clearly no respect. Behaviour like this could lead to death, how thick does a 17 year old have to be to do this.

Elaine Marshall: Name them, shame them, and bill them.

Julie Wood: Absolutely disgraceful.

Gary ‘Nev’ Mackinnon: This is when public floggings are appropriate.

Sharon Nesbitt: Absolutely disgusting and the parents will do absolutely nothing.

Dave Walker: Poor bairns, nothing to do boo hoo, where do they get cash from to buy the booze drugs and vapes?

Linda Bainbride: What is wrong with some of the kids today?
