More comments on – New Sunderland nursery plans finally approved after three years of controversy.

Baz Winter: Accident waiting to happen especially when it’s very young pre-school children with zero road sense attending here. Parking has been the issue since day one of the application and nothing has changed.

David Humble: I don’t see what the issue is. People seem to be complaining about two things – traffic from drop-off and pickups and the risk of having kids near a main road. You forget it used to be a care home.

Tony Allison: Residents of a care home aren't coming and going daily like the children are going to be, a very bad decision in my opinion.

Wendy Malkin: How on earth has this been approved when it is on a main road, where are parents going to park when taking kids to school and picking up, very dangerous, accident waiting to happen.

Linda Forth Davison:

How do they expect children to be dropped off, simply no parking at all. Accident waiting to happen.

Stacey Kean: I live in the street behind and requested for the street to be closed off they drive around here like they are on a motorway, someone will get killed.

Jo Shields: I live in the same block of this and there are absolutely no safe spaces around the building to stop and drop off little children! Definitely a ludicrous decision in allowing this to happen.

Jane Flowerpot: No outdoor play area and no parking, why would a parent choose this place?

Marie Cooper: That's going to be a nightmare for people and drivers, and dangerous for kids. What are they thinking of, money no doubt involved.

Clare Brown: Whoever approved the plans aren't their right mind!! There will be an accident.

Karen Butler: How has this been approved after three years when nothing at all has changed?

Lena Mills: Where do the children play?
