Numbers add up at expanding accountanc­y firm

A leading accountanc­y firm is aiming to create 150 new jobs in the region as part of its growth strategy.

UK top 10 firm Azets says it aims to increase revenue by 50% in the next five years.

With over 320 North East business advisors, Azets provide specialist accounting and business advisory services to growing SMEs from 12 regional offices – including Sunderland, Wynyard and Durham.

The firm is investing heavily in the next generation of talent including hiring 25 graduates, school leavers and apprentice­s across the region in 2022 – and plans for more this year.

The firm has also expanded to offer a wealth management service, Joanne Regan, regional managing partner at Azets in the North East said: “We’ve got ambitious plans to grow Azets in the region over the next five years, expanding the specialist services we provide to our SME clients.
