Outgoing Silksworth CW manager Jamie Cole believes patience will be shown as the club search for his successor between now and the end of the season.

Cole will fully focus on his role as club secretary next season, but will remain in charge for the remainder of the current campaign.

Ahead of Saturday’s home game with Durham United, he stressed the next appointment in the dugout will be focused on ‘doing what is right for the club’.

He said: “We have already had a lot of interest in the job, but we are in no rush to jump at it because we have plenty of time.

“We have got to get it right for whoever comes in and for the club because a fresh approach and fresh ideas will do us good. It’s all about doing what is right for the club.”

Cole has confirmed he has a full squad available for Saturday’s game.

Elsewhere this weekend, Farringdon Detached are without the suspended Alex Gudgeon as they travel to Cumbria to take on Windscale.

The top two meet in a crucial clash at Hilltop as second placed Gateshead Leam Rangers entertain leaders FC Hartlepool and Norton and Stockton Ancients could climb into

third place with a win at South Moor.

At the other end of the table, Annfield Plain welcome bottom of the table Durham City to Derwent Park in a meeting of two sides currently sat in the bottom three.

The hosts will be without the suspended Michael Hall as he serves the first game of a three-match suspension following the red card he received in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Wolviston.

Shotton Colliery can move into contention for

a top eight place with a home win against Shildon Reserves and Wolviston take on Richmond Town at Northfield School.

There is a local derby in the one cup tie that will take place this weekend as Darlington Town host Darlington

RA in the semi-final of the Shipowners Charity Cup.

There will face the winners of the other final four tie between Hartlepool Pools Youth and FC Hartlepool, which is set to take place at Grayfields next weekend.
