Teesside Star Wars auction extravaganza

A TEESSIDE auction house is holding its first Star Wars consignment auction and could fetch up to £100,000.

On Thursday, April 25, Vectis Auctions in Thornaby will host a Star Wars extravaganza with more than 670 lots of highly sought-after vintage and modern Star Wars items and ephemera.

The sale will include carded, loose and graded figures, play sets, vehicles and creatures, plus limited edition busts, figures, dioramas and statues. Further items include card backs, trade boxes of action figures, master replica signature edition and limited edition lightsabers, plus collectables, trading cards, posters, graphic novels, books, magazines and comics.

The sale is expected to fetch between £75,000 and £100,000 and includes the following lots: Lot 188: Palitoy Star Wars vintage Han Solo Large Head 3 3/4in figure, AFA Graded 85 NM+ Card 85, Bubble 85 Figure 85, upon punched 12A back card. Estimate: £10,000-£12,000. Lot 187: Palitoy Star Wars vintage The Empire Strikes Back Luke Skywalker Bespin Fatigues 3 3/4in figure B back Alternate picture, UKG Graded 80% Card 80, Bubble 85 Figure 75, upon un-punched 30B back card. Estimate: £10,000-£12,000. Lot 606: Master Replicas Star Wars Mace Windu Signature Edition Lightsaber no 61/750 (signed Samuel L Jackson), near mint, within excellent packaging, includes Base & Acrylic case, plaque, certificate booklet and all paperwork. Estimate: £800-£1,000. Lot 117: Palitoy Star Wars vintage Return of the Jedi Tri-logo Yak Face 3 3/4in figure, AFA Graded 80 NM, card 80 bubble 85 figure 85, upon un-punched 79 back card.
