COMEDY pals Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan team up to host the biggest night in television from London’s Royal Festival Hall.
The evening looks set to be a memorable one for Jack Lowden. The actor’s spy comedy-drama Slow Horses and fact-based Brink’s-Mat robbery drama The Gold are going head-to-head for the coveted Best Drama Series.
Both have stiff competition, however. They are up against the acclaimed third and final series of Sally Wainwright’s crime drama Happy Valley, as well as the fifth and final season of crime drama Top Boy.
Lowden himself is up for Supporting Actor for his work on Slow Horses.
Other categories include Leading Actor and Leading Actress, with Succession’s Brian Cox and Happy Valley’s Sarah Lancashire among the nominees.
Hannah Waddingham’s
Home for Christmas is a front runner in the Best Entertainment category and Celebrity Race Across the World is vying for a Factual Entertainment trophy.
While the past year saw the return of Big Brother, it has failed to make the cut in the Reality nominations – instead Banged Up, Married at First Sight, My Mum Your Dad and Squid Game: The Challenge all fight it out.
But which three will be eliminated before one takes home a trophy?
