Corrie Film Club

Boyhood (USA 2014 Cert 15)

-

IN OCTOBER, Corrie Film Club is showing a fascinating film by Richard Linklater, which depicts the life of a child growing up over 12 years in real time.

In other words, the film was shot with the same cast over 12 years so that the child, Mason, literally grows up on screen before our eyes.

Widely acclaimed and described as ‘epic in scale’ but ‘intimate in narrative’, Boyhood is a nostalgic time capsule of the recent past and an ode to growing up and parenting as well as an incisive comment on the human condition.

This interesting and compelling film can be seen in Corrie and Sannox Village Hall this Sunday, October 11, at 8pm. All welcome.

Members please note that this is the last of the current syllabus. The new syllabus will start next month with the postponed screening of the film, Ada.
