Arran lose at Cumnock
Cumnock 35 Isle of Arran 12
Isle of Arran RFC travelled to Cumnock for an early kickoff on Saturday of 1pm, but with ferry delays, the islanders requested a 1.30pm kick off, which turned out to be closer to 2pm.
Nevertheless, Arran travelled with a full squad looking to pick up their first league points of the season after clinching promotion last year, when they finished second place in Division 3.
Despite being 23-0 down, Arran fought on in the first half and managed to score a try and conversion to go into half-time 23-7 down, but ultimately lost 35-12, including a try in the last minute from Cumnock to add to their woes.
Arran have no fixture this Saturday and are next in action on October 17 when they travel to face Cumbernauld, who sit on eight points after three games, while Arran are still looking for their first points after two games played.
