Kids get set for biggest summer holiday fun project

-

The start of North Ayrshire’s biggest ever programme of school holiday activities is already under way and there is so much to do on Arran that the kids won’t want the holidays to end.

From now right through to the middle of August there is a packed programme of KA Leisure events featuring multi-sports, gymnastics, football, athletics and dance.

The highlight for many will be the super free summer roadshow on Friday, July 15, at KA Campus Arran at the high school in Lamlash.

Delivered in partnership with various clubs and organisations, the roadshow (11am-3pm) delivers fun for all the family on your doorstep - offering a variety of sports, games, inflatables and competitions.

Budding young sports stars get the chance during the holiday period to meet new friends and develop their skills at a variety of sports camps and events.

KA Campus Arran is the venue for an Active Schools multi-sports camp for five- to 12-year-olds from Monday, July 18 to Thursday, July 21 between 10am and 3pm each day.

There’s also gymnastic classes organised by Newtown Gymnastics Club on Mondays, July 11 and 25 and August 8 between 10am and 3pm.

This year’s football camp will be Euro 2016 themed and gives the kids the chance to improve their skills and take part on astro turf in small sided games. The football camp kicks off on Monday, July 11 until Thursday, July 14. For information call Craig Hamilton on 01294 317464 or email chamilton@kaleisure.com
