All the trophy winners at the Farmers’ Society Show

-

Another successful Arran Farmers’ Society Show has come and gone but the organisers are already thinking ahead to next year, with suggestions that changes may be afoot.

Secretary Christine McBride said: ‘The society would like to thank all who helped out during the run-up to the show, on the day itself, and the clear up. Without you all, whether a member, an exhibitor, a stance holder or a volunteer, the show would not be able to take place.

‘Last, but not least, to the general public a massive ‘thank you’ for continuing to support our event – we hope to see you all again next year, on Wednesday August 2, 2017.’

As reported in last week’s Banner, for probably the first time in the show’s 180-year history, there were no dairy cattle on show, meaning these trophies were not presented. There were also no Suffolk sheep or Clydesdale horse entries.
