Former hotel to make way for staff flats

-

New staff accommodation is being built by the Auchrannie.

Planning permission is being sought for the demolition and erection of flats on land adjacent to St Elmo in Shore Road, Brodick, for residential use. Five dwelling flats will be created on the property which will see the demolition of the former hotel known as the Anchor Hotel. Eleven neighbour notifications have been issued and the application is currently pending consideration by North Ayrshire Council planning officials.

The St Elmo’s building and land which overlooks Brodick golf course is owned by Auchrannie Leisure Ltd and is currently being used as staff accommodation.

The Auchrannie is also currently converting the former Montrose House into staff accommodation.
