MV Glen Sannox

Sir, Having read with interest about the naming competition for the new ferry, I thought readers of a certain age might be interested to see where the original MV Glen Sannox ended up?

Unfortunately, she’s now a wreck in the Red Sea having been run aground after a period in service transporting pilgrims to religious sites in the area.

More information can be found online and the wreck can be seen on Google Earth.

It would be good to raise funds for a recovery and restoration and see her back on the Clyde racing the Waverley again.
