Special delivery of new Kildonan Post Office

-

Local residents enjoyed a coffee morning in Kildonan Village Hall to celebrate the relocation of the Post Office.

The new Post Office, which will open in the hall on a Monday and Tuesday from 10am to noon, will offer the usual postal services and a new range of Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of Scotland banking services.

Postmaster Nicola Greig explained the reason for the move: ‘Kildonan Post Of- fice has operated at the Kildonan Hotel for many years but feedback from the community highlighted it was a bit out of the way for many residents.

‘We have listened to these concerns and, along with the hall committee, have secured use the village hall in the centre of the village to better serve customers. The consensus among residents is that the community would be better served at our new central location.

‘I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and everyone who has visited this morning wishing us the best of luck.’

Post office assistant Jane Gillespie will be assisting Nicola who also runs a Post Office in the village hall in Lochranza which is open on a Tuesday and Friday from 9.45am to 1.15pm and the Post Office in Blackwaterfoot which offers a full range of services, Monday to Saturday.
