Whiting Bay bowlers lift centenary trophy
With the Laidler Gardner and Federation competitions behind them, Brodick Bowling Club played host to the other island clubs on Saturday June 17 when they competed for the Brodick Centenary Trophy.
It was a lovely sunny day, and the green was in perfect condition.
By a narrow margin, one of the triples teams from Whiting Bay emerged as the winners.
By the second half of June the club was able to concentrate on its domestic competitions, which were now proceeding apace, but there was also time for regular rink games.

A spokesman for Brodick Bowling Club said: ‘We have been delighted to welcome several new members this season, and trust that they will enjoy their bowling as much as the rest of the membership.’
