Geology talk at heritage museum

-

A new ranger geologist, Aerona Moore, is now working with the team preparing the bid for Arran to become a recognised Geopark, as previously reported in the Banner.

Last month she gave a talk on Arran’s unique geology at the Arran Heritage Museum, and such was the response that she will be repeating the exercise on Wednesday September 13.

This will take place in the museum’s Geology Room, starting at 2pm, and will be of 45 minutes’ duration. A very capable communicator, in that time she will provide her audience with a brief introduction to the unusual geology of the island which attracts so many students of the subject year after year. This is an opportunity not to be missed.
