Arran Sportive back this weekend
More than 120 cyclists will take to the roads today (Saturday) in the second Arran Sportive.
This year the 56-mile charity cycle, in aid of the Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, will have participants from Scotland, England, Ireland and as far away as Australia.
On the route there will be two water stations – one at Pirnmill primary school and one at Velo Café Lagg and Brodick Co-op have donated some bananas.
After the event VisitArran will be running a barbecue and Arran Brewery will also have a stall. The trust has been donated products from Arran Distillery, Kinloch Hotel and James of Arran chocolate which will be used as prizes for the participant that raises the most money. CalMac ferries are also sponsoring the event.
