Kema Genda wins final Drumadoon contest

Arran Ladies Golf Union

Saturday April 7, Drumadoon. After a long winter of wet weather, the last of the Drumadoon competitio­ns was finally able to be played. 1. Kema Genda 7812=66, 2. and scratch Susan Butchard 77-10=67.

The Arran Ladies Golf Union thanked Trish for the catering and the Brodick Golf Club for the courtesy of the course.

Fixture: Tuesday April 17, Thursday April 19, Saturday April 21, Kiscadale Competitio­n, Whiting Bay Golf Club. The game on Thursday commences at 4.45pm and at 1.30pm on Saturday.

Sunday April 8, The Tor Alvey Greensome, 14 played in this popular early season Greensome which was won with a creditable net 60.6 by Kevin McAleney and Ronnie Mann.

Kevin and Ronnie also bagged the only magic two of the day when Ronnie holed a respectabl­y long putt after Kevin smashed a drive to the heart of the 14th green.
