The assembled group played in excellent conditions this year – no wind, no rain and, most importantly, no midges – but many competitors nevertheless found the greens very tricky while others were attracted to the brilliant yellow of the gorse at its best just now. Only one magic two was recorded by Kate McAdam at the 16th.

As ever, the main attraction were the cakes! Produced by a small select group of bakers, they excelled themselves this year. Our thanks also to our new caterer for the tasty sandwiches and to our captain, Mary, who took on the tea and coffee making duties and welcomed our guests.
