Crofters’ is the new name in Brodick
There is a new name on the Brodick dining scene and that name is Crofters’.
After a fifth busierthan-ever season, the bosses at Fiddlers’ Music Bar and Bistro took the opportunity to step back, evaluate the business and make some tweaks.
Marketing and music manager Ealana Boyle explained: ‘As part of the review, it was identified that the name Fiddlers’ may no longer best represent what the business has become since it started up, or the direction it is now going, since it infers a disproportionate focus on one aspect of the musical side of what we do, without alluding to the many other elements, which all come together in providing the authentic Scottish hospitality experience.
‘In order to overcome this limitation in the brand, we have decided to rename to Crofters’, which we feel is more inclusive of food, drink, local provenance, and indigenous Scottish culture as a whole, which obviously includes a heavy dose of music!
‘Most of the other changes are internal and relate to management/staffing structure, systems, procedures, accounting processes etc, and are necessary because our original systems and structure have become stretched with the growth of the business. The only part of these changes which should be visible to customers will be improvements in efficiency, consistency and service as a whole.
‘We would like to thank all of our staff, musicians, suppliers, partner businesses and customers for making the operation what it has become and we look forward to further establishing the Crofters’ brand as one the many great goto, must-see Arran hospitality destinations.’
