ADVERTORIAL

Gordon Bros in Lamlash is fully reopen again and is brimming with new stock.

However, during lockdown it is proud to say it never closed its doors and even in the darkest times, hen some older residents were to scared to leave their house to get their paper, they were offering home deliveries and even getting shopping for their customers too.

But it was just all part of the service for the Ship House store which has been a fixture in Lamlash for generations.

But while the tradition may remain of a shop with everything you could want and so much more, it also keeping up with the times.

The store has just launched an extended range of household and hardware goods including pillows, quilt covers, lamps and portable heaters which are competitively priced and which assistant Denise Bodie hopes will keeps people shopping local without going to the mainland or shopping online.

'We have five major wholesalers on the mainland so if anyone wants something we can usually get it for them. We have seen sales down in the past two years and it is no exaggeration to say that if people don't use us they will lose us.

'We always try to be competitive on price and try to cater for the needs of tourists as well as the locals with beach equipment, chairs and the like as well as mobile phone accessories and essentials they may have left at home.'

If you haven't been to Jimmy Gordon's for a while it may well be worth another look.
