Sunday August 23, The McKelvie Cup Rd 1, 21 played in the first of the three club championship qualifying rounds and braved sporadic light rain with piranha midges, compounded by the complete absence of wind for much of the morning.
Scoring was steady rather than spectacular and CSS stayed at 63. 1 Gavin Mainds (10) 62, 2 Douglas Auld (18) 64, 3 David Brookens (11) 65 acb, 4 Gus MacLeod (14) 65. No magic twos were recorded.
