DAME VERA LYNN: HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY Tonight, BBC2, 9pm BORN on March 20, 1917, during the First World War, Dame Vera Lynn came to epitomise the term ‘Forces Sweetheart’ during the second global conflict thanks to the songs she sang during the period, and her tireless efforts to entertain the troops.

Now, as she prepares to celebrate her 100th birthday, she talks to her daughter Virginia about her career.

Dame Vera recalls how she first appeared on stage aged just seven, became the first British artist to score a number one record in America during the 1950s, and is the oldest living singer to reach the same position in the UK album charts.

Among those offering their opinions of her importance are Second World War veterans, Paul McCartney, Barry Humphries and Miriam Margolyes. SS-GB Tomorrow, BBC1, 9pm ARCHER and Harry put their differences aside to join forces in a mission to get the frail king out of London by ambulance and turn to Sylvia for help.

They are able to evade capture by collaborators, but are they heading into a deadly trap?

Meanwhile Barbara (Kate Bosworth) is being interrogated by Kellermann – will she breakdown and tell the Germans what they want to know?

As US forces land in the UK, it emerges that the data for the atomic bomb is incomplete, while Kellermann takes steps to outmanoeuvre Huth.

Last in the series. POLICE INTERCEPTORS Monday, Channel 5, 8pm THE return of the documentary following the work of a highspeed police interception unit, this time with Cheshire’s elite crime-fighting team.

In the first edition, Tom tries to stop a suspected petrol thief who is not willing to pull over, Bucko and Chris meet a mouthy driver who refuses to come quietly, and Jim deals with a drunk, foul-mouthed racist who has bladder-control issues. INSIDE NO 9 Tuesday, BBC2, 10pm STEVE PEMBERTON and Reece Shearsmith have struck gold with another fine selection of darkly comic tales. Sadly, this is the finale of the third series, but some would say they have saved the best until last.

It’s the night of Elliot Quinn’s valedictory show, Fragments. An unlikely group of individuals find themselves in The Nine Gallery in East London for champagne,
