Caledonian are in Super form on oche

VOYAGER welcomed the Caledonian in the South Tynside Super Darts League and it was the latter who took a 4-1 lead into the singles’ rundown.

Billy Stevenson, Geoff Murray and Dave Sinclair all won for the Caledonian.

With Eddie Kimber and Simon Wilkinson, Gary Thompson and Geordie Walsh (2x180) and Mike Slight and Ryan Hunter all drawing, the final score was 13-4 in favour of the Caledonian.

Snooker Club B played the Westoe Bar B and were 5-0 down after the triples and the pairs.

John Ramsay put the Snooker’s first point on the board in his draw with Tony Ellis.

However, that was to be their only point as wins by Peter Stephenson, Dave Whitehead, Andy Nellist, Ernie Hudson and Paul Johnson gave the Westoe a 16-1 success.

Ramsay, Nellist and Johnson all hit 180s.

Westoe Bar played the Cyprus and found themselves 3-2 down going into the singles.

Jimmy Hudson, John Naughton, Bob Compton and Chris Robinson all prevailed for Westoe and Trevor Auty won for Cyprus.

With Ray Stobbs and Shaun Fairweathe­r drawing, the final result was 11-6 to Westoe.

Alberta met the Snooker Club A and were 4-1 down before the start of the singles.

Dave Gutteridge won for the Alberta as did Karl Elliott (who hit a 15-dart 601 singles leg) for the Snooker Club.

With Barry McCann and Gordon Barkas, Andy Heley and Paul Morrison, Chris Reay and Jimmy Hewison and Alan Burn and Dave Stephenson all drawing, Snooker Club triumphed 10-7.

Andy Heley and Alan Burn hit 180s.

Westoe Room took a slender 3-2 lead into the singles rundown against Boldon Lad.

Steve Graham and Chris Stephenson triumphed for the Westoe, as did Phil Armstrong for the Lad.

Dean Apes then drew with Dennis Archbold, as did John Neilson and Paul Lambert Jnr and Lenny Stephenson and Chris Lagen, to make the final score 10-7 to the Westoe Room.
