Traffic & travel update

BY CAR: Expect delays on the A194 at Leam Lane while the road is widened. A lane is closed on the A1058 Coast Road west at the Billy Mill roundabout for improvement works. This will last until the end of March. The A688 eastbound at Thinford is closed due to roadworks at the A167. BY BUS: Killingworth Road will be closed northbound from Haddricks Mill through to West Farm Avenue from today for up to five days. During the closure, Stagecoach 18 and Arriva 18A will divert from South Gosforth roundabout via Benton Park Road to Four Lane Ends. The 18/18A will temporarily serve Benton Park Road (Haddricks Mill and DSS).

Arriva 54 will divert via Benton Park Road and Benton Lane to Quorum Business Park, omitting Killingworth Road, Salters Lane and West Farm Avenue. The 54 will temporarily serve Benton Park Road (Haddricks Mill and DSS).

Stagecoach X63 will divert via Benton Park Road and Benton Lane to Quorum Business Park, omitting Killingworth Road, Salters Lane and Balliol Business Park. The X63 will temporarily serve Benton Park Road (Haddricks Mill).

Arriva X7/X8 will divert via Benton Park Road, Benton Lane and West Farm Avenue to Salters Lane. X7/X8 will temporarily serve bus stops on Haddricks Mill Road (opposite Sainsburys), Benton Park Road (Haddricks Mill) and West Farm Ave (shops). BY METRO There are no planned works.
