WINLATON Juniors are looking for teams for their summer football tournament at Winlaton Vulcans Rugby Club on July 29 and 30.

Squads who will be at underseven and under-eight level next season are invited to take part.

Entry is £30 per side with a discount for multiple teams from the same club.

In Division One, Jarrow Pumas beat South Durham Boys 8-4 but Rickleton United lost 4-2 at home to East Durham.

■■HEBBURN Golds reached the semi-finals final of the Durham County FA League’s Under-15 Cup with a 1-0 victory at Feling Magpies.

■■CONSETT thrashed Ponteland United 7-1 to stay 10 points clear at the top of the Northumber­land Under-21 League.

Heaton Stanningto­n drew 1-1 with second-placed Ashington.

■■THE Goals Newcastle NFA Colts Cup decider between Newcastle City Milan and Cramlingto­n Juniors will be staged at Whitley Park, Benton, on Wednesday, May 17 (7.00).

■■WALLSEND BC overcame Washington 3-0 in the Durham County FA Under-18 League.

Ryton Blacks saw off Darlington Youth 9-1 but South Shields lost 6-1 at home to Spennymoor Town.

■■SEVENTEEN-year-old Codie Nichols, the Newcastle United Foundation’s first female apprentice, has been offered a full-time coaching role with the charity.

Clark is studying at Tynemet College while working as an apprentice coach delivering after schools clubs, girls only sessions and disability football sessions.

■■BEAMISH Colts will meet Felling Whites in the final of the Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League’s Under-12 Angels Cup.

The Colts beat Prudhoe YC Rockets 3-1 while the Whites squeezed past Prudhoe YC Tigers 5-4.

■■THE Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League’s Under-12 Bridges Cup final will be between Blaydon YC and Whickham.

Blaydon needed extra time and a penalty shoot-out to see off Redheugh while Whickham triumphed 2-0 at Ponteland.
