Hart-felt regrets as the Juniors crash out of Cup

STOCKTON took revenge on New Hartley Juniors for their league defeat last month, beating them 7-2 in the last four of the John Maley Under-18 Cup.

The Teessiders took the lead straight from the kick-off through Jake Petitjean - which the referee timed at just four seconds!

Further first-half goals from Shabs Mohammad and Harry Lawrence put them 3-0 up at the break.

Hartley substitute Jack Butler pulled one back but Stockton went further ahead when Sam Lons netted twice to make it 5-1.

Butler pulled another back to make it 5-2 but strikes from Jordan Jaques and Adam Deva sealed an emphatic victory.

Durham City reached the final of the Lady Eden Hospitals Cup wth a 5-2 victory over Darlington Youth.

Meanwhile, in the competitio­n’s preliminar­y round, Wallsend Boys Club saw off South Shields 2-0.

IN the Premier Division of the Under-15 League, Hebburn Town Juniors and Gateshead Cleveland Hall drew 3-3 and Sunderland Redhouse CA triumphed 2-0 at Shildon.

WHICKHAM Fellside defeated Bishop Juniors 4-1 in the Under-14 League’s Premier Division while Hetton Colliery Boys prevailed 10-3 at Jarrow Pumas in Division One.

In Group Two of the Champions League, Washington United overcame Jarrow Youth 5-0.

Matty Clements, Joseph Armstrong and James Keilloh were among the scorers.

In Group Three, Chester-le-Street Town lost 6-2 to Easington Colliery Whites.
