Juniors see off Shields, but neighbours are held

PIN POINT JUNIOR LEAGUE UNDER-16-18 DIVISIONS

CRAMLINGTO­N Juniors were home winners over North Shields in Division One of the Under-16 League.

Cramlingto­n Town and Monkseaton shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

In Division Two, Ashington and Ponteland drew 2-2.

Stakeford currently hold second spot despite a 1-0 home defeat to third-placed Red House Farm Kites.

Hexham overcame Heaton Hawks 3-1.

Ryton ended their Division Three campaign with a 5-1 victory at Burradon.

In the Division Four title race Cramlingto­n Town Yellows remain four points clear of Whitley Bay Barca after a 4-2 success at Bedlington Juniors - while Barca took the points at Morpeth Lions.

Grainger Park moved into third with a 4-1 result over over Blyth Rangers.

The top two meet in midweek which may impact on the battle to be champions.

In Division Five, Wideopen - 5-0 winners at Cramlingto­n Town Whites - lead Whitley Bay Real - 4-0 victors at KYPC Munich - by one point but have played a game more.

Blyth Rangers continued their challenge with a 5-3 verdict against Newcastle Westgate Warriors but only have two matches to play.

Kingston Park were 5-1 home winners over Seaton Delaval.

BLAKELAW United saw off Cramlingto­n Juniors 5-0 in Division One of the Under-17 League.

Forest Hall and Burradon played out a goalless draw.

Tynemouth’s victory over Cullercoat­es took them to the top of the Division Two table - equal on points with Grainger Park who have also now completed their fixtures.

Red House Farm Storm have a game left and victory in it would mean three teams tied at the top of the table.

THE Under-18 Ray Knight League continues to have one of the most exciting title races for a number of years.

Blyth Town opened up a twopoint lead at the top after a narrow 1-0 win at Team Gosfoth.

Previous leaders Newcastle City were held to a 2-2 draw by Whitley Bay BC Blues and remain second.

North Shields are fourth, six points behind the leaders but with matches in hand, after a narrow 4-3 victory at Whickham Fellside.

Newcastle Westgate clinched the Nigel Voules League crown.

Red House Farm Madrid defeated Longhought­on 3-2 to climb into second spot.

Ashington are third after a 5-0 result at Tynemouth United Blues.
